Haters Reunite!

This is Happening (2010) was the last major LCD Soundsystem album.

We've enjoyed a period of calm, during the hiatus of the band LCD Soundsystem. We've avoided shuffling 'plurnt' by the atonal melodies and ululations of J. Murphy.

Now, this is happening: their reunition and new album release.

Fuck.

This blog was started in 2008 and a single post was published.

Since then a number of people, about 4,500 says Google Analytics, have visited this page -- most likely because they googled "lcd soundsystem sucks".

A spirited subset of those left colorful comments on the single post.
These confused souls found others who felt just like they did. A sense of community whelmed visitors.

We're connected by our wonder of just what the fuck is wrong with people who listen to LCD Soundsystem? 

With a renewal of LCD Soundsystem on the scene comes a renewal of the assertion that their music is drivel. 

Has anything changed since 2010? Has the b-level fame gone to Jim Murphy's head? Will he resume pushing turd after musical turd into our Spotify playlists?

Does the new album deserve our attention? Will it not be samples of mule pissing and pedestrian synth 'beats'?

It's time to come out of the woodwork, as the shit-for-band is doing again.

It's time to beam our opinions into this vent of hatred, to commune in the shared disdain for the next ca-ca cacophony (read: diarrhea record) once again.

How crap-tastic will the upcoming album be?

The LCD Soundsystem phenomenon

LCD Soundsystem sucks.

This is a simple and reasoned opinion. 
The music is simplistic, the vocals are annoying at best. The samples are somewhat good but completely overshadowed by 
silly, shitty minimalistic beats and rhythms. 

So why did this guy win a Grammy? Has he bribed the The National Academy of Arts & Sciences? Does his music cast a magic spell on it's weaker listeners? How is it this travesty of modern music managed not only to stay afloat within this global industry, but to strive and reach such perverse success?

Of course those apprehensive of this viewpoint might rebut or accuse that this author is lacking in musical experience, taste, or simply prefers other genres to the refined art of "IDM". Such a position would nudge this author's credibility, or further make ineffective my statements.

Granted, that is possible. Sometimes one confuses their dislike of a genre with a specific artist and comes off as intolerant. Some music sounds good to those appreciative of it's genre, and sometimes is tolerable, regardless of the listener.

This is not that music. This is the most awful crap to come from any remotely famous artist, possibly with the exception of The Hold Steady. 

Please post a reply regarding LCD Soundsystem. Please free the people such delusions of the quality of this artist. We know there must be more folks like us out there! Else, music may be doomed for the future.
